Code of Conduct

GolangForAll — at meetups, in the WhatsApp community, and anywhere else people gather in this name — is meant to be a space where anyone can show up and learn, regardless of experience level.

The short version

  • Be respectful. Disagreement on technical points is normal and welcome; disrespect toward people isn't.
  • No harassment of any kind — based on gender, experience level, background, or anything else.
  • There are no "dumb questions" here. Beginners are welcome, and so is asking the same question twice.
  • Keep discussions on-topic and constructive, especially in the WhatsApp group where things move fast.
  • Self-promotion is fine in moderation — spamming the group with unrelated content isn't.

If something goes wrong

If you experience or witness behavior that doesn't fit the above — at a meetup or in the WhatsApp group — reach out directly to work.dshukla@gmail.com. Reports are taken seriously and handled discreetly.

Why this exists

The community only works if people feel safe participating in it. This page exists so that expectation is written down, not just assumed.
